Name and acronym of the NGO: Development, Equity, Sustainability and Innovation “DEDI”

Date and place of creation: September 24, 2016 / Ouagadougou

DEDI is an international non-governmental organization which aims to provide creative solutions to social problems on the basis of endogenous knowledge and existing means. She works in humanitarian and development. It began in Burkina Faso in 2016 and has spread over time to Niger, Mali, Chad and Cameroon.

The organization therefore contributes to supporting and strengthening the resilience of vulnerable populations in Burkina Faso, Mali, Cameroon, Chad and Niger.

DEDI works with vulnerable host, internally displaced, refugee and returnee communities in all areas of operations.

DEDI has targeted nearly 1,000,000 beneficiaries of all statuses in all the countries concerned, where it operates.

The tremendous support and willingness from governments has enabled DEDI to operate on the ground. Also, DEDI has conducted its activities through partnerships with UNHCR, UNICEF, IOM, local and international NGOs from different countries. DEDI has invested alongside its technical and financial partners to make a major contribution to this humanitarian challenge.

Finally, it should be noted that where DEDI has been able to provide a response, it is populations who have found a smile and joy in life without ignoring the efforts of other partners. It is this result that encourages DEDI to focus on solid development of its program and the search for key partnerships that can save lives and empower people, especially young people and women.
